  Love, truth, authentic, excellence, Jesus... These are just some of the words that come to mind when I think about newhope church. Honestly, I don't think I have ever been to a place where I have felt so loved and welcomed. From the time I could see the parking lot entrance from the road, there were smiling faces waving you and your family in. You'll be greeted by several people volunteering at the church before you make it in the door and several more times before you make it to your seat. For me, from day one, I felt like I was at home. There is so much love and compassion that you see in newhope's ministries. They have a home that is a shelter for women escaping prostitution, their missions ministry brings aid to Hati and Kenya every year. They have even adopted a village in Kenya. They also have a campus that meets in the women's prison in Raleigh where they hold worship celebrations for the inmates. Every Sunday, you hear a message, see video presentations, and sing songs rooted in the Bible that proclaim the truth. This is a body of people that are, "real." At newhope you are surrounded by authentic people that realize how lost they were without a savior, but proclaim how grateful they are to have found Him! "All are welcome," is really something newhope means! It is one of the most diverse churches in the U.S.! You see people of all cultures, races, levels of income, and backgrounds worshiping together, doing life together, and building God's Kingdom together! From the physical building to every ministry within the church, you can see how much newhope strives to do everything with excellence as they glorify God. Their kids ministry, "hopetown," is filled with loving teachers and volunteers that get children so excited about Jesus! The same is true of their student ministries for middle and high school students. The worship celebration was filled with sights and sounds that clearly took weeks of planning and preparation. From worship music that is delivered with the passion and quality of a professional artist, to one of the best Gospel-centered messages you could hope to hear, you see how intentional this church is about doing ministry at the highest level of excellence. Even the coffee is better than what you get at most shops in town! This is a church that proclaims Jesus, that preaches Jesus, that worships Jesus, and puts Jesus at the center of all they do! I HIGHLY recommend newhope church to anyone looking for a place to learn about God or looking for a church family!
